Wall hanging inherited from previous innkeepers.
Calling all quilters – or those who love quilts! There will be more than 125 quilts, special exhibits and vendors at the Charlottesville Area Quilt Show XVI on April 6 & 7.
I must admit that I have never been to a quilt show before. However, when the postcard announcing the upcoming area quilt show came in the mail I thought it just might be worth checking out this year. A former guest recently gave us a table runner that she and one of her clients had quilted. You can see a picture of it in the banner of this blog. Of course it has foxes on it which is why she thought to gift it to us. Plus we inherited a quilted wall hanging from the previous owners of Foxfield Inn. Oh, yes, my grandmother made one for me when I was little that contains fabric from the clothes that I had outgrown. So we have a few quilts here, not many but a few.

Back to the Quilt Show. It is held every other year by the Charlottesville Area Quilt Guild. This year it is being held at the Tandem Friends School on Saturday April 6th from 10:00am – 5:00pm and on Sunday April 7th from Noon -5:00pm. Besides more than 125 quilts on display there is a raffle drawing for the “Spinning the Blues“ quilt.
We hope you enjoy seeing some beautiful quilts and learning a bit more about quilting.
