June is turning out to be quite the active month here in Charlottesville. I came across three more things you might want to check out that sound like quite a bit of fun.
- The Virginia Whisky Experience – Saturday, June 11th. The Virginia Distillery is launching tours of their facility where you can visit their world class distillery and see Virginia single malt whisky in the making. There is also a museum where you learn how whisky-making came to be here in central Virginia. Tours will be offered daily – more info HERE.
- note: if you are in the area on June 1st celebrate National Donut Day with whisky donuts from Carpe Donut while sampling your whisky tasting.
- Artisan Pop-Up Market at the Cidery – Saturday June 18th, 1:00 – 5:00pm. Albemarle Ciderworks belieives in supporting local businesses including the arts. Every third Saturday they host local asrtisans who showcase their wood, pottery, jewelry and fine art. In addition you get to sample some really great tasting fine ciders.
- The Temptations at The Paramount – Sunday June 19th, 8:00pm. If you enjoy the original Motown sound then this concert is for you. So many hits, such great singers – all in the beautiful Paramount Theater! Start the evening off right with a stop at Citizen’s Burger Bar or ZoCaLo for dinner and then to the show.
There’s more to Charlottesville than just historic sites and wineries to visit! Come and enjoy.
