It is great that Spring has finally arrived! This time of year there are numerous activities and events happening in the Charlottesville area. It is really hard to focus on just a few events and activities to tell you about but we will give it a try. If you are looking for something special to do in April consider the following ideas to get you started:
- C’ville Hop On Inner City Craft Brewery Tour – Saturdays & Sundays 3/27-4/30. Saturday – 11:00am, Sunday 12:00am. See behind the scenes of three of the popular Charlottesville craft breweries – Three Notch’d Brewing Company, South Street Brewery and Champion Brewing Company. All three are located within the city limits of Charlottesville. While you are tasting at South Street Brewery be sure to order some delicious snacks from their restaurant menu.
- Music at Albemarle Ciderworks – Saturdays and Sundays 2:30-4:30. Listen to some great music while enjoying a walk through the orchard or tasting some great ciders!
- Tom Tom Founders Festival – April 11-17th. This is the 5th year that the town has celebrated music, art, innovation and food. Great block parties, demonstrations, discussions and exhibitions! Don’t miss it. Several restaurants in the area are participating in Farm-to-Table special menus so be sure to check them out as well.
- Foxfield Races – Saturday April 30th. Need I say more? It is a great steeplechase race that is just down the road from us. Of course all UVA alumni are very
familiar with the race. If you miss this one in April there is another race at the end of September.
Enjoy April and we hope to see you soon!
