I love Restaurant Week. This July there are 40 restaurants participating with three course meals. The restaurants either offer their meals at $16, $26 or $36 per person. 
One dollar from each meal goes to support the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
With so many restaurants to choose from it was difficult to decide which one to go to. I know we could select one for each of the eight nights but work calls so we narrow it down to just one. A group of local innkeepers get-together to enjoy the night out and experience a restaurant that not everyone has been to yet. We look at the menus of the restaurants we haven’t been to yet (this year there are only a couple) and some old favorites.
This month we chose Three Penny Cafe. A couple of the innkeepers have been there before and really enjoyed the food so we decided to give it a try. Our group has some interesting food restrictions and Three Penny’s menu fits all of our requirements.
In the past we’ve been to Maya, Orzo, Horse & Hound, and Hamilton’s. All were really good as I am sure they will be this year. In fact looking at all the menus, I don’t think you will go wrong at any of the participating restaurants.
So, come to Charlottesville, enjoy some good food and help support the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
