If you are in the mood for a really great show this weekend how about visiting one of the theaters here in Charlottesville?
Back by popular demand at Live Arts, 123 East Water Street, is Dirty Barbie and Other Girlhood Tales. Denise Stewart brings us this fantastically funny one-woman show about her strange southern upbringing. “Denise puts the “fun” back in “dysfunctional” as she spins tales of scarlet fever, scotch over ice, and girls gone wild.”
While at the PlayOn! Theater at Ix, 983 Second Street, is Samuel Beckett’s classic Waiting for Godot. It is a comical representation of mankind’s search for meaning. It is a magical and beautiful allegory of our time.
