It’s that time of year when the Holiday Market is open for artisans to sell their wares in downtown Charlottesville. If you are staying with us at Foxfield Inn it is an easy drive to the market where you can park and peruse what the vendors have to offer. Dan was there this last Saturday and was impressed with what the local crafters had on display.
Afterwards head one block north to Main Street and shop in the unique stores on the pedestrian mall. There are more than 120 shops with all sorts of items for sale. While downtown you can stop at one of over 30 restaurants for a quick lunch or linger over lunch with a glass of wine at Siips. Other great places for lunch are Hamilton’s on First & Main, The Nook, Bizou and Petit Pois.
On your way back to Foxfield Inn stop off at Barracks Road Shopping Plaza. More great stores to peruse. Check out SCOUT-Charlottesville for some unique shopping ideas. Their blog today highlights Scarpa‘s cowboy boots for sale. Some of them are pretty sharp.
Enjoy the day!
