The Farmers Markets in town are open and active. Charlottesville now has 3, count them 3, markets for you to visit. If you stay with us at Foxfield Inn on Tuesday or Wednesday you can visit the markets in the afternoon. While if you stay with us on Saturday you can visit the downtown market after breakfast, buy some produce or food for a picnic lunch and then head out to a winery or to Monticello and enjoy lunch there.

I just harvested a lot of herbs from our garden today and it is so nice to have the aroma of freshly picked herbs in the kitchen. I can hardly wait to use them in our breakfast dish tomorrow morning – Eggs a la Parisian (also known as herbed baked eggs). Fresh chervil, tarragon and parsley!
