While sitting here reading the announcement of the restaurants involved in January’s Restaurant Week I am enjoying a glass of 2008 Chardonnay from the Veritas Vineyard. This is when a brilliant idea came to me – why not combine a trip to Charlottesville to eat at some fantastic restaurants and taste some award winning wines? After all their tagline is:
So, fine dining and wine touring? Sounds like a great idea to me. So much so that we already have reservations for one of the restaurants and plans to visit one of the wineries we haven’t been to yet.

But as they say “The tables are set, and the three course menus are fixed at several of the finest restaurants, as culinary enthusiasts prepare to please their palates without draining their wallets during our fair city’s amazing semi-annual event.” Meals on Wheels will be the recipient of the charitable donations from the week’s diners. $1.00 is donated for diner from each of the restaurants.
