Schenectady, before moving on to Audubon, PA and NorthernVirginia. They
settled in Charlottesville during 1997 to create and operate a high quality Bed
& Breakfast. After 1½ years of renovations,
The Foxfield Inn opened in October 1998.
Mary Pat worked as a Dental Hygienist before raising a family of three
daughters. Two daughters are married with children, the third Beth resides in school for
handicapped near Charlottesville. Mary Pat later worked as a Dental Office Manager in
Vienna, VA before embarking on a new career in Innkeeping. Mary Pat designed each bed chamber
with a unique theme and decorated the entire Inn.

Corporation. Most recently, he
was VP Finance & CFO with a manufacturer in Charlottesville
before retiring from corporate life in December 2003.
John now is a financial consultant for small businesses in
Charlottesville and teaches Financial Management and Personal
Financial Planning at the University of
Virginia. During the spring of 2006, John also taught
a course
entitled Owning & Operating a Bed & Breakfast Innat the University of Virginia. An avid woodworker,
John is often working in his woodworking shop in the Inn where he designed and built the
cherry canopy beds, three drawer chests, bed steps in each bed chamber and all
cabinetry in the Inn. John maintains the Inn's web site and provides all photography.
Mary Pat and John designed the Inn renovations especially for a Bed & Breakfast and
completed much of the renovation details. The Inn features
a one floor layout with many common areas
inside and outdoors
for guests, along with complete privacy in the guest wing.
